My story

Navigating the Photographic Journey

Hello, I'm Glyn Parry, a seasoned photographer with many years of DSLR experience. My objective is to assist photographers of every level to achieve better outcomes and to take their photography to another level.

The passion that has shaped my artistic journey and my focus, is to share my knowledge assist and nurture the growth of fellow photographers—whether they may be a beginner taking their first steps or seasoned photographers wishing to share and improve their photographic journey.

Diverse Photographic Journey:

Throughout my many years of photography, I've had the privilege of capturing moments across various genres. My portfolio (which I encourage you to view) reflects this diversity, showcasing images that tell stories from landscapes to portraits and sports. Presently, coastal photography takes centre stage, allowing me to encapsulate the breathtaking shoreline of the Algarve in Portugal, my current home.

Professional Recognition:

My dedication to this art led me to achieve a Diploma in Photography, from the Institute of Photography, in the early stages of my photographic education. Over the years, my camera brand of choice has been Nikon cameras, of which I have owned several and an extensive collection of their lenses.

Community Engagement:

Recently, I became a proud member of the Algarve Photographers Group. I look forward and eager to contribute to this vibrant community, sharing insights, learning from fellow photographers, and collectively celebrating the art of visual storytelling. As well as this, I’ve photographed various Surf communities, from the time I’ve enjoyed the opportunity to live in Portugal.

Beyond Photography:

Beyond the lens, my other passion lies in learning languages. English is my mother tongue, I'm a fluent speaker of Italian, my second language and European Portuguese, which I’ve been studying and improving since my move to Portugal.
